Sharon Teo
Founder & Director
Sharon’s love of music started from the tender age of 3. She began singing in various choirs and took up classical piano and singing. After she completed her degree in Sydney, she joined the F&B industry and was a successful buyer. However, Sharon knew deep down that her passion was still for music and sharing her love of it with others.
For Sharon to keep her passion alive, she got herself trained in mandarin pop music composition and arrangement in her spare time, under the tutelage of her respected mentor Eric Ng. With the full support of her family, she decided to pursue her dream and switch her career to music. Sharon founded Nimbletunes Ptd Ltd to inspire children from a young age to see the beauty and joy of music.
Sharon strongly believes in constantly enriching and developing herself. She travels frequently overseas to gain insights and bring new perspectives back to share with children and preschool teachers. She has been teaching well-known preschools in Singapore and training preschool teachers regularly locally and abroad. She is well-loved by children and she has never failed to awe workshop attendees with her energy, knowledge and genuine love of her craft.

Despite learning piano at a very young age, Jared fell in love with the drums and all things percussion when he started playing it at the age of 17. After saving up to buy a simple 5- piece drum kit, his interest never stopped growing. He started out by mimicking his favourite drummers, covering their songs with other like-minded musicians. Soon after, he started playing with numerous cover bands in various venues including Hard Rock Café, Crazy Elephant and Sandbar at Siloso Beach.
He was also part of Singapore indie band wyd:syd who have seen their original compositions featured on local as well as international radio stations. The band was publicized in both newspapers as well as magazines.
He decided to take his interest in music a step further by enrolling into Lasalle College of the Arts, graduating with a BA(Hons) in Music. In his time at school, he was lucky enough to represent the school with 3 other classmates to perform in Jakarta for 2 events organized by the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta.
Since his graduation, he has pursued a career in education, acquiring his Arts and Music Instructor Scheme certificate to conduct music lessons in government school. He is also a freelance music teacher, teaching drums in The Music Lab.

When Joy was young, she was amazed by how little white and black keys on the piano could make such beautiful music. She found joy sharing and teaching piano music with her friends and people around her. That experience has inspired her to pursue a career in music teaching and she never looked back!
Joy is capable of creating a fun and engaging classroom environment by communicating with students in small talks and conversations before the start of lessons. She would also use little puppets and toys to engage younger children for them to feel safe and open up, as for old students, she would use stories to inspire them so they would express themselves freely during music lessons.
